Karim Soliman is an architect, lecturer and researcher. He obtained his Bachelor degree in architecture from AinShams University (Cairo, Egypt) and his Master of Architectural design from Dessau International Architecture Graduate School DIA (Dessau, Germany), institution where he collaborated from 2012 till 2019 as master lecturer and master studio director.
During these years in DIA he focused on computation in design areas (such as digital fabrication, rapid prototyping, rendering, body architecture, cross-media, transport and animated motion Picture). He developed in parallel his own practice in Berlin. His collaboration with well-known professionals in national and international private projects, competitions and consulting in a broad range of topics, reflected not only his academic work, but a rich working experience that took place in Europe and the Middle East.
In December 2020, together with the architect Marina Morón Frápolli, he founded Fenomena Design Hub in Cairo (Egypt), an international team of architects, engineers and artists that pursue innovation with an environmentally responsible design approach.
