Academic Research
Since 2012 till today, I had the privilege to be a part of the teaching board of the master program tough in Dessau international Architecture Graduate School (DIA). I started as a teaching assistant to an impressive professors (Christos Passas & Neil Leach) who I learned from them a lot until I become a Studio Master myself. My research with the students can be classified under 3 main Categories.
Computational Design
We explore topics such as agent based modeling, complex behavior simulations and their application in design.
Digital Fabrication
Digital Fabrication: is “The making of physical objects through the use of computer-controlled tools”(by Dianna Pfeitter), or “the use of computer-controlled fabrication, as instructed by data files that generate tool motions for fabrication operations”(by Marcin Jakubowski).
Digital fabrication has revolutionized the architecture industry; but what is ‘digital fabrication?’ What are its different fabrication methods and techniques? How can it be applied at various design scales? The answers to these questions were the core of my course “Introduction to Digital fabrication” . The final work of students is starting from Body Architecture scale, going through products and furniture and finally Pavilions.
Body Architecture
Parametric Furniture
Exhibition Pavilions
Transportation Design
This work was the result of a cad logic course that offered a frame work which is reflecting all the revolutionary changes in tools and software around us.
The course covered most of this formula going through:
- Research and Analysis
- Concept & Sketching
- Drafting preliminary drawings ; plans and sections
- Modeling – Parametric Modeling
- Create physical model either 3d printing , CNC Milling or Laser cutter to test model
- Simulating tools to simulate energy consumption , sun light or air dynamics , hydro static calculations etc.,
- Link simulating model to a parametric software
- Form optimization
- Physical modeling again
- Visualizing; Renders, Animations and final presentation

Multimedia Design
The focus of this studio is the picture. Animated or still picture. Taking advantage of the latest CGI techniques and VR applications to create unique experiences.
Virtual Reality
The focus of this course is to create an immersive virtual reality using unreal engine and HTC vive
Time Traveling

Architecture for Games
The Green Studio
The Green Studio is a design studio that experiments using the computational tools to design built environment that can be rendered in all kind of medium. The focus of this studio is the picture. Animated or still picture. Taking advantage of the latest CGI techniques and VR applications to create unique experiences. The Students task is to design the built environment that replace the green Chroma in post-production of movies
Architecture Visualization
Students in this Course usually choose a building of their choice; can be their old / new project or a favorite build project. They learn how to model it, how to visualize it in a the most realistic way
