Project Description:
“HEX 316”, A pavilion designed to serves as a platform to exhibit 12 parametrically designed Jewelry sets designed by students during the 2017-year end campus festival. It is designed concentrically on site with a cantilevered entrance as the dominate feature of the pavilion. The parametric structure is made out of 316 hexagonal shape cells with 3 different types of modules each serving a different function.

Cells generated with patterns to create internally and externally facing cells with 12 cells designed to house the Jewelry. The openings gradually increases towards the cantilevered structure to creates openings on eye levels and reduce weight on the cantilevered structure.

The cells are built by 6mm thick corrugated cardboard. All the cells consist of two components which is the facing and the framing. Cardboards are cut, scored and folded to create these components and bolted together with bolt and nut at the dedicated locations.
